The mortgage director wonders why some brokers find his practice unusual
All of these excuses put forward above are just that - excuses rather than reasons>For 12 months now I have been using electronic forms for NCCP etc and the consumers are more than ready for the next step - in fact I am asked regularly when are we going to get away from the paper with loan docs.Consumer are ready for it - I question whether the lenders have the guts to go down that path given a reluctance to embrace emailing of loan docs by most lenders.
Yeah right. With the ever changing rules surrounding lending currently, it's hard enough for brokers to keep pace. From experience, most people looking for a loan are lucky to organise their tuck shop money let alone higher financial issues. Then include credit scoring, credit checks and the like.... Bahahaha! Yes, it is ambitious and I'll never say never, but I think it'll take a generation or two to pass before it may take hold. Hey let's not forget the good 'ol mortgage insurers with their version of "Mein Kampf" that they apply to applications! Brokers will be required to handle the more complex issues. It'll take ages !
