BDM in the Spotlight: Jenna Siviour
ANZ BDM for South Australia, Jenna Siviour, has over 12 years of industry experience.

BDM in the spotlight asks a different BDM the same questions – giving you a weekly insight into the lives of some of the top BDMs in the country.

How often do you see brokers in a week?
I generally do between 7 and 10 appointments per week

What do brokers want most from you?
To be available and respond to their phone calls and emails in a timely manner.

What is your favourite part of the job?
Working with brokers on applications to get a positive outcome for their clients

What distinguishes the best brokers you deal with?
The best brokers do their homework and check scenarios prior lodging a deal. They also acknowledge when a deal is not a deal and thank us for our time and feedback

Describe your ideal weekend:
Spending time with family and friends

What’s the strangest lending scenario you’ve ever encountered?
Broker needed to do a loan for a client in jail. Let’s just say, it didn’t align with our policy.

What's your top time saving tip and how much time does it save you?
Having email templates saved for policies and generic questions, which I get asked regularly. When I started in this role I found myself re-writing emails over and over again. Now I have particular templates I’ve save so I can copy and paste them on the email. I would say some weeks I save 2 to 3 hours

How do you like your steak done?
Medium to well done

Every Wednesday we’ll feature a different BDM from across Australia. If you’d like to be included, please email the editor.
