Young brokers continue to shake up the industry

It takes an incredible amount of work and dedication to become a leading broker, but perhaps the greatest challenges of all are faced in the first two years of business.

With ever-increasing broker competition and regulation, the Finance Brokers Association of Australia recently revealed that only around half of new-to-industry brokers make it through the first 18 months of business.

With the odds stacked against them, only the very best and brightest young brokers successfully build a solid industry reputation and achieve impressive volumes in the first two years of their broking career and beyond.

Introducing the 2018 MPA Young Guns report; now in its seventh year, the report is the mortgage and finance industry’s most established and well-respected roundup of Australia’s most successful young brokers.

To be named on the year’s report brokers must be aged under the age of 35, have worked as an accredited broker for no more than two years and have written more than $15m in loans in the past 12 months.

MPA readers interested in nominating a Young Gun can do so by completing the short online entry form here; self-nominations are also encouraged.

Entries close Friday 1 December 2017.
