A top broker explains why broking is Australia's top job.

Director of Discovery Finance Group, Joshua Vecchio has written over $250m using techniques and tips being shared on his recently launched website Top Broker

Mortgage broking has come a long way in recent years, with it being said up to 50% of all loans written originating from the mortgage broking channel. For those looking to join the industry, now has been no better time. So we thought we’d put together a few reasons why we see it as Australia’s best job. It’s an amazing time to be part of such a fantastic industry.

Flexibility
The role itself has ultimate flexibility; there is no need to be working the traditional 9-5. Feel free to pick up the kids from school or go for a golfing day on Thursday as you’ve got the flexibility to work within the hours you choose.

Respect
It’s extremely difficult for cowboys to operate in the mortgage broking space, with mandatory qualifications and tight regulations which the industry prides itself on. Clients see mortgage brokers as a wealth of information and knowledge, assisting them with one of the biggest decisions in their life.

No Limits
The sky is the limit. If you want to settle more, you can. Like a car, if you know the roadmap and follow it, success is guaranteed! No need to go reinventing the wheel. There have been many extremely successful mortgage brokers in the past, which means this is an industry where anyone can make it.

Customers
Without clients we wouldn’t have a business, and by far the best part of this job is being able to make people’s dreams come to life. Being able to build relationships with people is one of the best aspects of the role and gives absolute satisfaction.
