BDM in the spotlight asks a different BDM the same seven questions – giving you a weekly insight into the lives of some of the top BDMs in the country.

How often do you see brokers in a week?
A normal week would consist of 3-4 appointments per day, 4 days a week, with a planning day in between.

What do brokers want most from you?
To answer their calls and emails quickly, provide accurate advice, and back the broker’s deal if Credit gives an unfavourable decision.

What is your favourite part of the job?
The flexibility of running my own role as my own business, planning appointments anywhere between Dubbo, Canberra, Newcastle or the North Coast at any given week.

What distinguishes the best brokers you deal with?
Over the 13 years with Heritage, I have dealt with the best of the best, and what distinguishes them from everyone else is their passion and hard work, simple but true.

Describe your ideal weekend.
Hanging out at home with my wife and 3 kids, surfing our home break all day with good food and music in between.

What’s the strangest lending scenario you’ve ever encountered?
Easily "will Heritage lend for a brothel?”.

How do you like your steak done?
Simple medium
