My Local Broker BDM for Melbourne, Darren McLeod says he enjoyed roles within the telecommunications and motor vehicle finance in between banking and finance roles.

How often do you see brokers in a week? 
To ensure value is added to my visitation schedule, I see roughly 15 brokers are week. This can be varied pending individual discussions and purpose required.

What do brokers want most from you? 
Business concept coaching, be a trusted strategist, digital & mainstream marketing, conceptual business opportunities and compliance support.

What is your favourite part of the job? 
Realising results from strategy plans jointly agreed and actioned.

What distinguishes the best brokers you deal with? 
Those brokers who are open minded in trying new strategies, or tinkering with pervious concepts, yet from a different direction/angle.

Describe your ideal weekend: 
I love getting away from the daily pace, to relax at locations seasonally appropriate. I also enjoy dinners or events with friends and family.

What’s the strangest lending scenario you’ve ever encountered? 
Too many to mention. Its important to listen, review and fully understand what the actual end reason or result related to.

How do you like your steak done? 
Rare to medium
